Beja: Defense Association Heritage promotes show for furnace reconstruction.

The adpBEJA is organizing a show to raise funds for the restoration of community oven, known as Forno Ti Bia Gadelha, with the support of the Municipality and the Parish Union of St. John the Baptist and Santiago.

In this project we also be able to start the study for the installation of a Bread Museum, for educational and tourist activities.

For its implementation we have the volunteer help of artists and Beja city groups, which will hold a solidarity show, the next day 26 January 2017, 21,30 hours, Pax-Julia Teatro Municipal, with a chance to extend to 27, where appropriate the public support.

This show will feature the following artists:

António Zambujo | Bruno Ferreira | Singers of Disquiet | disciples | Coral Group Beja | Jorge Serafim | Virgin Suta.

The name comes from afar, an old lamplighter street lamps, when night fell in this city, Gadelha is still, many years later, the nickname that his family remain as an icon of its long history. The old furnace located in White Gable street will be targeted conservation interventions and future of a proposed redevelopment whose aim is is to make it visitable and functional for tourism and for all schools in Beja.
