Beja: Municipal Library with summer time.

Until the next day 31 August the Municipal Library will be open from Monday to Friday, between 9:30 am and 8:00 pm, at an extraordinary time.

In view of the current public health situation, the Municipality of Beja decided to open a study room on the 1st floor with wi-fi free.

The Municipal Library of Beja José Saramago, reopened its doors day by day 18 May, with access to the return service and loans for books and other documents. A 1 June opened the multimedia and internet sector to the public (with access to 4 PCs, 1 Scanner e 2 tables to connect personal PCs) as, Cafeteria and reprographics MRC copies.

From 1 de Julho opened a space on the 1st floor to function as a study and work room with free Wi-Fi internet access.

Complying with all safety standards defined by DGS, all users to enter the Library facilities must wear a protective mask and access to the building is subject to a maximum number of people for each service / open space, according to current rules which will be adapted according to standards issued by health authorities.

Bearing in mind that we are going to go on a summer vacation, that this pandemic scenario COVID19 continues to give rise to precautions and what assessment we made on the use of the library in this period, points to a profile of users and activities, mostly functional, having greatly reduced, due to the restrictions imposed and as in other similar spaces, the socialization component, space for conversation and exchange of ideas, that characterizes the natural environment of the Libraries, the municipal executive decided to redefine, as an extraordinary title, a daylight saving time for this space.

So, from 1 July and until 31 August, the library hours are open from Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 8:00 pm continuously and will be closed on Saturday.
