On 6 January, by 15 hours, the population of the city of Beja is invited to celebrate Three Kings Day with the tasting a giant king cake with 50 meters in length, made by the century-old Luiz da Rocha pastry shop.
In the making of this cake, 62 kilograms of flour, 14 kilograms of sugar, 14 kg of butter, 30 kilos of fruit in syrup to decorate, 160 eggs, 8 kilos of yeast (yeast), 9 liters of milk, 7 liters of Port wine and 7 kilos of dried fruit (pinion, nuts, raisins, sultanas and cashew). The moment will also feature musical entertainment provided by artist Ricardo GlĂłria.
