The Volunteer Firefighters of Beja received a new ambulance for the transport of patients assigned to the services of the National Institute of Medical Emergency, to replace the injured vehicle in July 2021.
INEM's vehicle, technically known as Medical Emergency Post-INEM (PEM-INEM), property of the Volunteer Firefighters of Beja (BVBeja), got lost in the afternoon of 30 July 2021, on the Municipal Road that links Salvada to Vale de Rossins, in Beja county.
The PEM-INEM acquired in May 2020, at a cost of 55 thousand euros, and according to the company responsible for the transformation revealed on social media that “thanks to the quality and durability of the equipment, despite the existing setbacks, it was possible to reuse most of those that were initially installed in the old vehicle (and destroyed) and give life to this new oneâ€.
For the acquisition of this new PEM-INEM, the BVBeja relied on the amount paid for the insurance of the accident vehicle., with the remainder being the responsibility of the Municipality of Beja.
