Beja: Celebrate Epiphany with giant cake-king.
This Monday, Beja celebrates the day of kings with the largest cake-king's Alentejo.
A giant cake-king, with 50 meters, manufactured by century-old pastry Bejense Luiz da Rocha, and which is mounted, from 15:00, in Republic Square.
In this cake confection king, sponsored by the city of Beja, some have been used 170 eggs, 50 kilograms of flour, 60 kilos of fruit in syrup, 13 kilograms of sugar, 12 kg of butter, yeast, milk, port wine, pinion, nuts, raisins, sultanas and cashew.
The Epiphany in Beja is still marked with the traditional “The singing Janeiras”, which will start in Father Christmas House, to 15 hours, with Coral Group Lidador to go the local trade area to Republic Square, and will culminate with the tasting of the giant cake-king and musical entertainment by Celso Graciano.
