A Pakistani citizen, of 30 year old, was retained by the PSP on Saturday, in Beja, following a complaint of rape against a woman in the Alentejo city.
The victim is Portuguese, and the contours of the case were investigated by inspectors from the Faro Directorate of the Judiciary Police (PJ) to whom the suspect was handed over.
Lidador NotÃcias found that the events occurred at the victim's home, in a context with some contradictions, knowing that the two had known each other for some time.
The individual is a repeat offender in committing this type of crime in a situation that occurred in Setúbal. It is known that he was heard by the PJ and it is unknown whether he was formally arrested and accused of the crime of rape.
The suspect, who remains detained at the PJ, was presented to a Criminal Investigation Judge of the Turno District Court, the coercive measures are not yet known.
