The presentation of the Iberian Contest for Extra Virgin Olive Oils was made – Mosque Awards, which will take place in Beja to 10 March 2023.
The presentation took place at the UNESCO Center, in Beja, the X Iberian Contest of Extra Virgin Olive Oils – Mosque Awards, organized by Aula del OIivo de Andalusia, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de CĂłrdoba.
This edition, dedicated to Portugal, will take place in Beja, on 10 March 2023, will feature the participation of prestigious Spanish and Portuguese tasters.
The event was attended by Paulo ArsĂ©nio, Mayor of Beja, by Blanca Torrent, 2Deputy Mayor of Cordoba City Council, MarĂa Isabel LĂłpez and JosĂ© Alcobendas, Technical and administrative directors of the competition, and Manuel Ma Lopez Alexander, jury president.
Paul Arsenio, thanked the organization for choosing to hold the contest and offered unconditional support, indicating that it is an honor for the city that the Mezquita Awards are held here.
Iberian Contest in March is ahead of Ovibeja International Contest in April ?
In the 11th Ovibeja Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition held this year, Portugal scores in three of the five categories appreciated
Portuguese oils received 10 distinctions in the 11th International Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition – Ovibeja Prize, as a result of the tests carried out on the days 31 March and 1 April by the International Jury that met in Beja.
The organization of the 11th International Competition for Extra Virgin Olive Oil – Ovibeja Prize received this year around a hundred olive oils from 11 different nationalities.
The delivery of prizes to the winners at Ovibeja, on 23, at the Terra Fértil Pavilion, ACOS Auditorium. The organization of the Contest is the responsibility of ACOS with the support of Casa do Azeite.
