The Judicial Police (PJ) revealed, what, through South Board, located and detained, this weekend, in Loulé, a suspect responsible for document forgery crimes. The objective was to “obtaining illegitimate benefits”.
In a statement, the authority explains that the crimes occurred between March and December 2022, in the Alentejo region, “where the detainee tampered with documents relating to the ‘terms of signature recognition and online registration of lawyers’ acts’, with the aim of being used in the records of foreign citizens, in finance services, to obtain illegitimate benefits”.
The detainee, with 26 year old, It was present to the competent judicial authorities, “non-detention coercive measure was applied to him”.
Second to PJ, the investigation continues, “aiming at the full composition and location of the co-authors and the possible relationship with the practice of other crimes, namely aid to illegal immigration”.
The direction of the investigation is the responsibility of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Judicial Court of Beja.
