At José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital there are 10 infected with covid-19 and 74 in active surveillance. This second was detected in the past day 23 October.
They are already 10 health professionals infected with covid-19, Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes (HJJF), in Beja, 6 nurses and 4 operational assistants, who were placed in isolation at home, disclosed the Board of Directors of the Public Health Unit (ULSBA).
After assessing the situation, the Public Health Authority (ASP) determined that they be placed on active surveillance more 74 HJJF professionals, 41 nurses, 23 operational assistants, 8 doctors, 1 superior diagnostic and therapeutic technician and 1 tecnical assistent.
ULSBA also revealed that the Digestive Endoscopy Unit that it had closed for disinfection “resumed its operation today”, adding that “scheduled surgeries are temporarily suspended”, justified the Board of Directors.
According to hospital administration, “Tests were also carried out on all inpatients in Surgery and on professionals according to USP guidelines”.
The focus of covid-19 at José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital, in Beja, was detected in the past day 29 October with 8 infetados, and 6 nurses and 2 operational assistants of the Medical Services, General Urgency and Endoscopy. How many to these services, ULSBA assured that “these have adapted their way of functioning to this reality, given the number of professionals in active surveillance ”, adding that “no service or hospital beds were closed”, justified.
This is the second infectious focus of covid-19 at Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, after the day 24 September, a similar situation was detected in the Operating Room, that led to the infection of 36 health professionals and indirectly affected other 60, and last day 21 was taken for granted.
