Beja: Study points to place 43 of the best cities to live, visit and develop business.


A study carried out by Portugal City Brand, reveals that the municipality of Beja is the 43rd in total 308 municipalities, 278 no continent, 11 Madeira and 19 Azores, for living, visit and develop business.
BEJA- Works Teófilo_800x800In the Alentejo Region, Beja is in 3rd position, as the best municipality to live in, the 2nd to visit, in 4th in terms of business and is 43rd nationally, according to the study Portugal City Brand from the company Bloom Consulting, consultant specializing in the analysis and development of brand strategies, where the best Portuguese municipalities to live are known, visit and develop business.
The Portugal City Brand Ranking 2016 measures the performance of each municipality’s brand, in front of your target audiences. It is based on concrete facts, which include economic performance, tourist and social of the municipalities, performance in communication through its websites and social networks, and ability to attract online searches around the world. A mathematical algorithm analyzes all variables and dictates a classification for each municipality.
How municipalities were distributed by region? The regions to which this ranking refers, are classified by the European Union at NUTS level 2 (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistical Purposes). In some cases, They may not coincide with the historical regions of Portugal. However, is the most up-to-date regional subdivision in the country, so the Alentejo, includes Ribatejo.
The study focuses mainly on the digital impacts of municipalities, highlighting economic data (number of companies, business growth, percentage of new companies over total companies and inhabitants), tourism (number of sleeps, growth in overnight stays, hotel occupancy rate, slept per inhabitant) and talent (population, population growth rate, unemployment rate, purchasing power, crime rate per inhabitants, health centers, higher education establishments by 10 000 population).
