Beja hosts the exhibition “Expresso 50 years” in its roaming around the country in an invitation to read, to the celebration of journalism, and discovering history. Inauguration of the Exhibition “50 Years of Expresso”: Local: Captain Francisco de Sousa Street, to 11,30 hours.
Who should visit the Portas de Mértola (Captain Rua João Francisco de Sousa) will find the 50 front pages of the weekly, one for each year of publication.
On each front page of the newspaper you can access, through two QR codes, to the podcasts prepared by Expresso journalists recalling the most relevant events in each of these 50 years of country and world history.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by the municipality and by those responsible for Expresso on Thursday, day 27 July, 11.30am, being the same of free access and without time limit until day 8 August 2023.
In the same place, Next to Jardim do Bacalhau, the Expresso Reading Bank will be installed, that will remain as a hallmark of this initiative. The inauguration of this piece of urban art will also take place on Thursday, day 27 July, by 12h00. Banco Expresso will have a free wi-fi connection and will allow access to the newspaper's exclusives for one year.
On the same day, at 12:15 pm, the exhibition “EU e o EXPRESSO” will also be inaugurated at the Municipal Library of Beja until 16 of September.
