Beja: Lack of Justice Officers closes doors of the Public Ministry.


The lack of Justice Officers led to the Coordinating Attorney of the Public Ministry (PM) Beja, in line with the General Directorate of the Administration of Justice (DGAJ) close the MP's door.

The measure came into force last Monday and has implications for the courts of Cuba and Odemira.

According to the magistrate “the District of Beja is struggling with a huge lack of human resources in terms of bailiffs, situation that has been repeatedly reported by professionals. A large portion of working time is spent serving the public, whether in person, either by phone “, materialized.

Manuel Dores said that “the counter was expanded + which allows the delivery and registration of documents and scanning, formula found to free the sections from these tasks”, concluded Manuel Dores.

According to the Coordinating Prosecutor, “personal or telephone service tasks, in the center of Beja (MP and judicial sections) are centralized at the Counter +” adding that “the citizen, lawyers and Criminal Police Bodies, have access to services in another space of the court”, justifying that “the closure of the door was previously communicated and agreed with the services.

The case is replicated in Odemira, where the MP's services were transferred to another area of ​​the court and the Balcão operates in that location +, with the same tasks as Beja.

Telephone service was also centralized in Beja, and currently covers the courts of Beja, Cuba and Odemira.
