Beja: Fair Cavadas, of 6 and 8 April, animate the Penedo Gordo.
The Parish Union of Santiago Major and St. John the Baptist, is preparing with great enthusiasm the first edition of the Fair of Cavadas, held in Penedo Gordo (Beja) of 6 a 8 April.
Fair Cavadas
Born of a partnership between the Municipality of Beja and the Parish Union of Santiago Major and St. John the Baptist, the "Fair Cavadas", It shall take place between days 6 and 8 April, having Penedo Gordo as stage.
Promote endogenous resources, disclose what is best and affirm the Penedo Gordo as a structural part of our parish, are the pillars of this Fair Cavadas, involving companies and associations based in the same.
For this purpose, the fair will feature a space for stands, with the exhibition of regional products.
The sing and gastronomy will not be forgotten and will brighten the tone for the three days of the fair, with pubs and musical entertainment.
The program will feature a walk, with a mesh and sing tournament, in charge of names like: the Cantadores of Disquiet, the Improvised, the Vocalists, Young Women Village, the Southern Voices, Coral Group Beringel, the Female Choir of Santa Vittoria, with the participation of the "Sing in Schools", pre-school and 1st cycle Penedo Gordo, with Fashion in Fashion, with the Small Singers of Beringel, and the Calchoneros.
Tree world Day
Last day 21 March, the Santiago Parish Union of Major and St. John the Baptist marked the World Tree Day, jointly, with the Municipality of Beja and the Association of Parents and Guardians. trees were planted in the City Park and within the Educational Center of Santiago Maior, involving the whole school community.
On 22 March, it was time to celebrate the International Day of the Tree and Water, the Educational Center of St. John the Baptist, a joint action, between the Union of Parishes, EMAS and the Association of Parents.
