The GNR arrested in Beja district thirteen people in flagrant offense. Sixteen for driving under the influence of alcohol and three without a license. The military detected 403 offenses, 21 for driving with alcohol rate in higher blood than allowed by law.

The thirteen arrests are some of the highlights of a set of operations, no district, carried out by the Land Control Beja (CTBeja) the week of 2 a 8 July, which aimed to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others.

In a statement on the operational activity sent to the wording of Lidador News (LN), GNR also gives account that there were three arrests for drug trafficking and for theft.
With regard to the fight against drug trafficking, the military seized the CTBeja 398 doses of cocaine, 256 doses of hashish, 77 grams of cannabis and 44 cannabis plants.

Of traffic control operations and surveillance in general, The following evidence records: 403 detected offenses, highlighting-se 42 for speeding, 39 by missing or improper use of safety belts and / or restraint system for children, 35 relating to tachographs, 21 for driving with alcohol rate in higher blood than allowed by law, 18 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 6 for lack of mandatory liability insurance and 5 by improper use of mobile phone while driving.

As for road accidents, GNR registered thirty accidents, highlighting-se: one dead, one seriously injured and eight minor injuries.

As regards the general control, They were developed sixteen notices of contravention, eight of them under the legislation of protection of nature and the environment and eight in the framework of police law.

The GNR also conducted three awareness-raising under the old program security, directed to preventing scams, having been visited / sensitized 48 isolated elderly.
