Beja: GNR made eight arrests for driving while under the influence of alcohol, between 16 and 22 April.

Arrests are some of the highlights of a set of operations, no district, carried out by the Territorial Command in Beja week 16 a 22 April, which aimed to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others.

In a statement on the operational activity sent to the wording of Lidador News (LN), GNR also gives account that were seized 27 doses of hashish, three firearms, a telescopic sight, five chargers, night vision sights, 45 ammunition and three knives.

As for road accidents, GNR registered twenty-five accidents, highlighting-se: two minor injuries. As regards the general control, They were developed seventeen notices of contravention, which eleven in police law and six under the legislation of protection of nature and the environment.

The GNR also conducted, five awareness-raising in the campaign “Safety in the Elderly” (prevention scams), having been sensitized 54 seniors and four school environment, having been sensitized 227 students and 17 teachers.

Vila Nova de Milfontes – Three arrested for poaching

The Territorial Command Beja, Regional Detachment through Odemira, day 21 April, detained three men aged between 44 and 59 years, by exercise of hunting by illegal means, in Vila Nova de Milfontes.
