About two years later, the Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja, returns to the specialty of otorhinolaryngology.
According to the Board of Directors (CA) the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA) guarantees the full functioning of the specialty in this hospital unit from Monday to Friday, including, in addition to consultations, operating room and hospitalization support.
The solution found, according to the ULSBA CA, “it allows the population to give back access to care in a specialty that is in high demand and has been a need that has long been needed to be addressed”.
