“Pop” gang, individual residing in São João de Negrilhos (Aljustrel), caught with 1.2 million, begins today on trial. Nine hundred (900) thousand euros was hidden in a warehouse wall.
Under tight security, assured by the PSP, starts today at the Court of Beja, the trial of a gang of drug dealers, led by an individual nicknamed the “Pópó”, whom the PJ seized 1.2 million, the vast majority stuck in the walls of a warehouse.
When in the morning of the day 20 May 2021, inspectors from the National Unit to Combat Drug Trafficking (UNCT) the Judicial Police (PJ) entered a warehouse located in Aldeia do Ronquenho, in Ferreira do Alentejo, they found 908 cannabis packaging, with the overall weight of 91,5 kilograms and 300 thousand euros hidden in a car. the rest of the notes, more than 900 thousand euros was hidden in the wall of the building, concealed with wooden boards, situation that did not deceive the PJ inspectors.
In addition to Joaquim F., known as “Poppy”, who is in custody, are judged more 11 Defendants, aged between 27 and 44 year old, four from Alentejo and the rest from Quinta do Conde, Setúbal, Almada and Lisbon.
The defendants are charged with the crimes of aggravated drug trafficking, bleaching, personal favor, aggravated harm and possession of a prohibited weapon. Cannabis was purchased in large quantities from individuals residing in Spain, both by the group leader, “Popó”, as by the other defendants under his command and was intended to supply “dealers” in Greater Lisbon.
