The Judicial Police (PJ) stopped a man, with 35 year old, who is suspected of abusing his partner's daughter several times, of 13 year old, which was institutionalized in a foundation, in Beja.
Second to PJ, the sexual assaults happened in different periods, starting in 2021 and extending until this month of May. Abuses occurred during visits by the mother and partner to the child., which is institutionalized “under a promotion and protection measure in the foundation of the municipality of Beja”.
The suspect took advantage of authorized visits and absences accompanied by the family, to, under various pretexts, be alone with the child, using these moments to perpetrate the abuses.
The detainee will be heard in the first Judicial interrogation and application of coercive measures deemed appropriate.
