The “water that unites” strategy, was presented in the last day 9 March by the Prime Minister, where the government wants to build dams and reduce water losses and will cost five billion euros to 2030.
The program for reinforcing water storage and optimization of existing infrastructures and construction of new dams, provides two types of measures: Existing Dam Change and Increase and Study/Construction of New Dams.
In the case of Beja district on the first axis (Changing and increased capacity) strategy is the alvito dam and in the second (construction of new dams), are the streams of Terges and Cobres (Beja and Mertola) and Careers (Mértola).
The presentation “water that unites” strategy in Beja, will be held tomorrow (Wednesday), a partir the 15,00 hours, in the ACOS meeting room, at the Association headquarters, The interventions of Maria da Graça Carvalho are planned, Minister of Environment and Energy, Following the presentation of the “water that unites” the working group, with interventions by Ana Margarida Luís-President ADP Valor, Pimenta Machado-President APA, José Pedro Salema-President of the Board of Directors of Edia and Rogério Ferreira-Director-General Dgadr.
The session ends with the intervention of José Matos Fernandes, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, then followed statements to the media.
