Beja: New equipment for the gastroenterology service ULSBA.
The Board of Directors of Local Health Unit of the Lower Alentejo revealed it is completed Replacement Project of the Gastroenterology Service Equipment.
Backed by Alentejo 2020 the FEDER, They were replaced existing equipment at the Endoscopy Unit of the Gastroenterology Service, a total investment of 90.000 euros. With the implementation of the project ULSBA considers that provided the unit technology that allows Endoscopy fulfill its mission in ULSBA.
With this project were replaced existing equipment at the Endoscopy Unit of Service
Gastroenterology, namely: 1 Endoscope for replacement of existing which have exceeded their useful life and 2 Processing Machinery and wash endoscopes.
The CA ULSBA states that the total cost of the investment is € 90,000.00, and 85% this amount reimbursed by the ERDF and the remaining 15% in national counterpart.
This project aims, according to the Local Health Unit: Promote access and quality of health care provided to users of the coverage area of ​​ULSBA; Improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Gastroenterology Service and consequently ULSBA; Improve and modernize the existing park equipment Endoscopy Unit; Improve the responsiveness of the Unit for Endoscopy, in terms of speed, effectiveness and safety in the examinations; To respond in a timely and adequate demand (requests for tests), thus increasing the less invasive treatment options and more effective; Increase the number of tests carried out internally and, consequently, reduce the number of tests performed abroad and decrease the annual maintenance costs of the equipment.
With the implementation of the project has adopted the Endoscopy Unit technology that allows fulfill
his mission in ULSBA.
