The deputies of the Assembly of the Republic recommended the Government to start the procedures for the construction of the New Building, designated Body G, do hospital de Beja.
The final text presented by the Health Commission approved, recommends to the Government that the beginning of the procedures for the expansion of the José Joaquim Fernandes Hospital, in Beja, namely through the construction of the body G foreseen in the technical project, attributing to the Board of Directors of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), "the competence to trigger the necessary procedures at the beginning" and to "transfer" the funds from the Ministry of Health to allow the review of the study and construction project of the new building whose total investment is estimated at 30.000.000 euros.
The approved document maintains that the Government "sets" a timetable for the construction of the new building, to ensure the opening of the public tender during the 1st semester of 2022 and the award of construction by the end of 2022, "assuming the global amount of multi-year investment to be carried out and the respective sources of funding".
The deputies defend that the Executive of António Costa, namely the Ministry of Health “adoptâ€, briefly, "the procedures and legislative measures", administrative or regulatory requirements for the mobilization of community funds for the construction of the new building, sustaining the creation of “a mechanism for public access by citizens to all updated information on the procedures for the construction of the new building, namely through electronic meansâ€, completes the approved document.
