According to information provided yesterday during the meeting of the Executive Board of Beja, by the president of the city council, Paul Arsenio, "The deadline for proposal for delivery to the tender Beach / River Park Five Réis, ends on 27 and open the proposals the next day, day 28".
The mayor added that the value of the contract was 700.000 euros, having the authority granted "300,000 euros and Tourism of Portugal 50.000 da EDIA, the remaining 350.000 euros the responsibility of city council ", concluded.
The "Tourist Valuation of Albufeira Five reis", It involves the construction of a river beach, beach facilities, paths and interpretive trails, picnic, maintenance circuit, point of bird watching and boat dock, according to the publication of the contract in the Official Gazette of 19 July 2019.
It is recalled that the contract for the construction of the beach / park was signed in 21 May 2019 (na photos), involving the Municipality of Beja, Secretary of State for Tourism and the Enterprise Development and Infrastructure of Alqueva (EDIA), under the Program Valuing, through the Line to Support Macau Tourism Enhancement of Interior.
The River Park Five reis will be born in the homonymous reservoir, located four kilometers from the city of Beja, It is financed 90% Hair Turismo de Portugal, amounting 318 thousand euros, while the remaining funds will be provided by the municipality of Beja and the edia.
The park, which will be located about a kilometer from the Villa Romana Pisões, a major local tourist attraction, and will have a six-kilometer perimeter, in total 47 hectares, relying on a river beach with 1,4 million cubic meters of water.
