The Judicial Court of Beja decreed, Thursday, preventive detention for the individual of 20 years detained by the Judiciary Police (PJ) on suspicion of attempted homicide, against another man, in this Alentejo municipality.
The suspect was present at the first judicial interrogation, the Court of Beja, He decreed that you measure more severe duress, staying at the Beja Prison to wait for the process to unfold, being indicted for the crime of qualified homicide in the attempted form.
In a statement, the PJ revealed on Wednesday that the suspect was detained for “strong evidence” the commission of the crime of homicide in the attempted form, against another man, of 27 year old, in Beja county.
The PJ explained that the arrest was made on Tuesday through the Directorate of the South, the crime having occurred in the early hours of Saturday, cerca the 01,00 hours, in the garden of Bairro do Ultramar, in front of the Conservatory Building, in full public road.
According to the Judicial Police, the victim was attacked with “use the melee weapon”, injuries were caused, the severity of which led to her being taken to the Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit, where are you hospitalized “under reserved prognosis”.
The PJ advanced, that according to the, the aggression was motivated by the fact that the group of young people in which the suspect belonged, have “considered that the victim was a member of a police agency, reacting aggressively when challenged”.
According to the PJ, after investigation, were collected “relevant evidence” which culminated in the identification and arrest of the suspect.
