The PSP of Beja / Moura instituted administrative offenses during inspection actions it has carried out under the state of emergency enacted due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Beja District Command agents (CDBeja) Public Security Police (PSP) issued in the last week 19 administrative offense records for violation of restrictive measures to contain the covid-19 pandemic, in the cities of Beja and Moura.
Fifteen of the administrative offenses were filed against citizens who consumed alcoholic beverages on the public road, the values of the fines were 200 euros each.
Has learned the Lidador News (LN), in one of the police operations, the PSP teams detected five foreign citizens, agricultural workers residing in Beja, a consumed the drinks in the outdoor theater of the Casa da Cultura in the Alentejo city.
The individuals have been identified and the offenses will be sent to their respective addresses, since when the infractions were registered the “payment on time” was not yet in force.
In addition to the fifteen administrative proceedings initiated by the consumption of alcoholic beverages on the public highway, four more were instituted for not using a face mask, on public roads and without the observation of social distance, exercise catering service, with customers inside, sell drinks, at a gas station convenience store and sale of non-essential products, on balances.
According to Article 2 of Decree-Law 28-B / 2020, of 26 June, the amount of fines fixed for non-compliance with the duties established during the covid-19 pandemic, in the case of natural persons it varies between 100 and 500 euros and in the case of legal persons between 1.000 and 10.000 euros.
When the offense falls within the scope of negligence, the amounts are reduced by 50%, if it is committed during the State of Emergency, the minimum and maximum values are doubled.
