Beja: Reopening of the Municipal Market takes place this Thursday.


The reopening ceremony of the Beja Municipal Market, will take place this Thursday, day 12 September 2024, at 11:00 am, on the premises of the Market itself.

According to the Municipality of Beja, “this special occasion, which marks the resumption of commercial activities in our Municipal Market, now revitalized to better serve our communityâ€, justified the Municipality.

The space closed in February 2020, intervention in the Market had an initial investment of around 2 million, and will have four kiosks, 21 stores and 26 fish banks, vegetables and other products

According to information provided by Beja Chamber, the traditional farmers market that takes place on Saturdays near Lardo de Santo Amaro, will continue to take place in the same space and adjacent streets, the space being completely clean of the present temporary installations that exist there.
