Beja: Rehabilitation of buildings of the Historic Center.
The Beja House approved at the meeting of the last day 19 July, rehabilitation of two buildings of the Historic Center, one offered in 3 August 2016, by sisters Ferreira da Costa Cruz.
The city council approved the proposal to open tender, no value 1 million euros, para a empreitada de reabilitação de dois edifÃcios na Praça da República, onde será instalado o Centro de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Local.
This is another bet of the Municipality of Beja, which continues its redevelopment strategy and valuation of buildings of the Historic Center.
As in Lidador News (LN) released exclusively on 23 August last year, the ordinary Executive meeting of the Municipality of Beja, realizada a 3 August, was “unanimously approved” the proposed donation of a building located in the Republic Square and Merchant Street (Old Street Shopping), where on the ground floor still works a ready-to-wear.
The proposal was made by Ferreira da Costa Cruz sisters, Maria Elvira, Maria Emilia, Maria Francisca and Maria Antonia, as legitimate heirs of the building located in Praça da República, No 2 and 3 and Merchant Street, No 68, 69, 70, 71, 72 and 73, in Beja, “for not being able to bear the costs that are required to perform the maintenance works”.
The building consists of ground floor, where does the establishment of ready-to-wear, “fashions Felicio”, 1Th e 2º andar, with a 254m2, eight police numbers, two in Republic Square (paragraphs 2 and 3) and six in the Merchant Street (ºs 68 a 73).
