Following a wave of robberies, that have occurred since last day 18 October, in commercial establishments, homes and vehicles, in Beja, led to the arrest and identification of six suspects.
The PSP District Command detained 4 people and identified two more, all male, Portuguese and other nationalities, aged 23 and 48 year old,
Two of the individuals were detained yesterday, in flagrante delicto, spent the night in the cells of the Beja PSP Police Station and were presented to a Criminal Investigation Judge (JIC) the Court of Beja, for the application of enforcement measures, that are still unknown.
an individual, of 23 year old, was arrested in the act after stealing several tools from the interior of a vehicle worth up to 1.000 euros. The other, of 29 year old, was caught by PSP investigators, after having committed a theft from inside a commercial establishment by staggering and subsequently breaking into a window. Money from the theft was found in his possession..
Without mentioning whether individuals manage to steal any goods or money from a home, where they were introduced, two men were arrested, of 22 and 48 year old.
In addition to this four detainees, the PSP identified two more individuals, for theft inside a commercial establishment where they took 251 euros, documents and a cash register, stolen from inside a commercial establishment.
Arrests for trial
In compliance with an Arrest Warrant issued by the Court of Beja, the police detained two individuals, to be present at the trial hearing. The two detainees are part of a group accused of committing 36 crimes, namely, attempted qualified homicide, offenses to physical integrity qualified coercion, theft and drug trafficking.
