Beja: World Breastfeeding Week, on ULSBA, with actions at 9 and 10 October.
The World Breastfeeding Week, whose national celebrations stem from 5 a 11 October 2015, theme is the encouragement of breastfeeding for working women, with the statement "Breastfeeding and Working is Possible".
Because of its importance, and because we believe that it is possible to combine breastfeeding with work, the Local Health Unit of the Lower Alentejo, EPE is associated with these celebrations, through a set of activities, which will take place on 9 and 10 October, in the Auditorium of the Polytechnic Institute of Beja.
The commemorative program, through conferences and workshops aimed at health professionals and education, Pregnant couples, Children in pre-school and wider community, aims to reinforce the importance of breastfeeding, to increase awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding, sensitize employers to the need to support and actively encourage working mothers to continue breastfeeding Act and highlight the need for protection and the right to work of these women.
Noteworthy, the conference "Breastfeeding and the Society ... The commitment is All", on 9 October, by 14h30, aimed at health professionals and education, whose role is key to successful breastfeeding.
On the afternoon of 10 October, aimed at pregnant couples and the whole community, participants can attend the conference "Breastfeeding and Working in the Present" and the bellies of workshops plaster and infant massage.
