The Board of Directors of the Local Health Unit of the Lower Alentejo revealed that received, a 2 January 2019, 15 Internists, one of which is the first in the specialty of Critical Care Medicine and receive their training in the Polyvalent Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes.

The newcomers Doctors, They are distributed as follows: 7 Doctors for Internal Specifies Training, in Intensive Care Medicine specialties (1), General surgery (1), Psychiatry (1), Pediatrics (1), Internal Medicine (1), Orthopedics (1) and Obstetrics and Gynecology (1) and 8 Medical interns for General Training (former Common Year).

This group of doctors came to join the 49 Internal currently in training at the institution.
