The woman 37 years was yesterday seriously injured, following the collapse of a structure inside a tent where stemmed activities of the National Championship of the Professions, promoted by the Employment and Vocational Training Institute (IEFP).
Sofia Mercy, resident in Beja, forming the institution, I worked as a volunteer at the event, in supporting the cooking contest, which was held at the Quinta de Santo António, NA 260, about what 8 miles of Beja, in connection to Serpa / Spain, when a strong storm struck the region.
Inside the Quinta de Santo António, where does the Beja Vocational Training Service of the IEFP, were more than a thousand people, between competitors, volunteers, jury, public and many children up to 12 year old, from various schools in the district participating in the main building in a show of professions, taking in case the space was evacuated and all the people came out safely.
On site at all times was a team with prevention 6 operational and 3 cars and they were quickly attended to the victim and transported to the hospital, also proceeding to the evacuation security space.
After the accident the tests were suspended and the closure of the "Alentejo SkillPortugal-2018" will take place this Friday in Sines, with the awards.
