Lidador NotÃcias found out from a source at Beja airport that the plane carrying the Sport Lisboa e Benfica team lands in Beja at 13,45 Hour Friday.
Problem related to lack of slot’ to land in Lisbon, ensures that the entourage of the reds that returns from Belgrade is carried out by Beja.
In simple terms, a landing time slot was not guaranteed, a route that would allow the charter flight carrying the delegation to land at the capital's airport.
The Benfica team leaves the capital of Serbia in the morning and will hit the tracks at the Air Base (BA) 11 right after lunch (13,45 hours), the club bus is scheduled to travel in advance to Beja in order to guarantee the remaining part of the journey to Lisbon.
Benfica faced Estrala Vermelha this afternoon, in a game of the “new†Champions League and won by 2-1.
Third trip through Beja airport
On 29 July 2019, the plane that carried Sport Lisboa and Benfica (SLB) landed on the runways of BA11, coming from the United States (USA), with the then National Champion returning from Boston where he had participated in the International Champions Cup. Having won all three games, the last day of which beating AC Milan by 1-0. Just like this Friday, Benfica's coach was Bruno Lage.
