Fat Head: "3rd edition of Silarca - Mushroom Festival” it takes-is between 4 and 6 March.


The Fat Head Parish Council, county Beja, organizes the 3rd edition of Silarca, Mushroom festival held from 4,5 and 6 March 2016.

With this event, The parish council wants it to become a reference in the Gastronomic-Cultural script within the Municipality of Beja and even Beja district, which makes it almost obligatory visit to a knowledge and flavors festival, Genuine inside, showing their traditions and gastronomy.

The Silarca, the Fat Head Mushroom Festival is an event that celebrates the wild resources and mycological, ancestral practice in local cuisine, while book value of excellence across traditional knowledge, the Alentejo sing our heritage of humanity and natural products in the natural setting that offers Gorda.

The Parish Council justifies that wants to preserve the customs and traditions, to pursue a balanced and harmonious development of society, since they constitute their pillars and, one way of achieving the, it is, also preserving them and giving to know them.

The municipality believes that the Mushroom Festival will mark the positive the parish Gorda and Beja County and all partners involved.
