Within the scope of DECIR 23, was designed today 05 August at 06:20, assigned a rural firefighting mission, 1 (a) Reinforcement Group for Fighting Rural Fires (GRIR), in order to reinforce the combat device in the Carrascal theater of operations | Sarzedas | withe Castle.
The GRIR is headed by the 2nd Commander of the Fire Department of Serpa and integrates: two tactical command vehicles (VCOT), four combat vehicles (VCI), two combat support vehicles (VTT), a rescue ambulance (ABSC), and a special operations vehicle (VOPE) in total 10 vehicles and 31 firefighters, of the Fire Departments of, Aljustrel, Almodovar, Alvito, Castro Verde, Ferreira do Alentejo, MĂ©rtola, Moura, Ourique and Serpa.
Also designed yesterday 04 August, at 23:40, with Command Post Team mission assignment (EPCO) rural firefighting, 1 (an) Team from the Baixo Alentejo Sub-Region Command Post in order to reinforce the command device in the Carrascal theater of operations | Sarzedas | withe Castle.
EPCO is headed by Sub-Regional Commander Carlos Pica (CSREPC do Baixo Alentejo / ANEPC), assisted by the Commander of the AlmodĂ´var Fire Brigade, Canyons, Beja and Mertola, 2Âş Commander of the Fire Brigade of AlmodĂ´var, Deputy Commander of the Fire Department of Moura and Serpa, and Chief Firefighter of AlmodĂ´var.
Out of World Youth Day but ready for anything
On 13 of July the Lidador BotĂcias (LN) reported that the thirteen fire brigades of the Baixo Alentejo Sub-Regional Command of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (CSRBA-ANEPC), decided “not to participate in the proposed arrangements” for the World Days of 2023 (JMJ2023), decision that received the solidarity of the Federation of Firefighters of the District of Beja (FBDB).
Sunday Fabela, president of the FBDB assured LN that “we are not making claims, but to guarantee the operational means to ensure relief in the region, in view of the expected road flows on journeys, in addition to the commitment to DECIR, in fighting rural fires, remembered.
