Recreational Philharmonic Society and January 1 marks 88th Anniversary with commemorative concert.
The next day 16 January, the 1º de Janeiro Philharmonic Band plays a commemorative concert that intends to mark the 88th Anniversary of the Sociedade Recreativa e Filarmónica 1º de Janeiro and to remember the important role played by this military community.
Scheduled for 21:30, no Cineteatro Municipal de Castro Verde, the concert features a repertoire featuring themes by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Franz Von Suppé, Amália Rodrigues, Alves Coelho Filho and Paul Anka.
different musical styles, from fado to traditional pop music, in a concert that will have the direction of Ricardo Carvalho and the special participation of the fado singer Sara Gonçalves and the tenor Carlos Guilherme.
The initiative has the collaboration of the Municipality and Parish of Castro Verde. Tickets will be on sale from 12 January at the Castro Verde Tourist Office, and they have a cost of 3€.
