Castro Verde: Sing to jolt and Campaniça violates the traditional “Feira de Castro”.
The Feira de Castro, in Castro Verde, is upon us and with it the Despique to sing tradition and jolt and viola Campaniça. This Saturday the Sandgrouse, celebrates “25 years jolt, Despique and violates Campaniça”.
The 25th Meeting of Cantadores of Despique and jolt Players and Viola Campaniça is promoted by Sandgrouse - Information Cooperative and Castro Verde Culture and will take place on Saturday, 17 October, a partir das 21h00, no Fórum Municipal de Castro Verde.
Over night, before a race table not lack wine, berry brandy and other well Alentejo snacks, the singers will sing and "poke" to each other, always accompanied by the unique sound of the wire viola.
In every game there are a tribute, choice made by the singers themselves during the jolt of the previous year. In 2015 the homage of Sandgrouse is the popular singer and poet António Vitorino da Graça Almeida, the "Lagoon", natural of the village of Corte Malhão, in Odemira.
