The Castro Verde City Council will deliver the vouchers for the purchase of school supplies to the direct descendants of the Volunteer Firefighters of Castro Verde and the Castro Verde Delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross.
This action by the municipality takes place within the scope of the Municipal Firefighter Card and the Red Cross of Castro Verde, in a Ceremony that will take place next Monday, 12 of September, in the Main Hall of the Town Hall, at 15:00.
created in 2020, the Municipal Firefighter and Red Cross Cards represent an important measure of support by the Municipality of Castro Verde to the men and women who are at the service of the community daily with extraordinary public availability and implement an important social support policy by granting access to a set of rights and perks.
In addition to the annual support of €100 for the purchase of school supplies up to the 12th year of schooling or up to the 18 years to the direct descendants of the Volunteer Firefighters and the Red Cross of Castro Verde, both Cards also grant exemption from 50% in water tariffs, sanitation and solid waste.
The cards also allow free access to the Municipal Swimming Pools, Municipal Cinema and other public facilities in the Municipality, as well as the “Activity with‘ life â€programs, "Shake your life", “Swimming School†and “Municipal Tennis School†are some of the social benefits of Firefighter and Red Cross Municipal Cards.
The Municipal Cards intend to praise and value the role played by the Volunteer Firefighters of Castro Verde and by the Delegation of Castro Verde of the Portuguese Red Cross, publicly recognizing their value and meritorious work in the community.
