Castro Verde City Council and Baixo Alentejo Local Health Unit (ULSBA) will sign a Protocol for the Requalification and Expansion of the Health Center and Basic Emergency Service (SUB) Castro Verde.
The ceremony will take place the next day 25 January (5Wednesdays), by 12h00, in the Noble Hall of the Town Hall.
A iniciativa, which is attended by the Mayor of Castro Verde, António José Brito, and the President of the Board of Directors of ULSBA, José Carlos Queimado, aims to mark the start of the requalification process of this health equipment, which will be carried out by the municipality and financed under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), in an investment that should be around 2,1 million.
The Castro Verde Health Center, namely its Basic Emergency Service (SUB), responds to a large number of users. With great proximity to relevant highways (IP2, EN2 to A2), but also with the two largest Portuguese mines (Neves-Corvo and Aljustrel), accommodates around 40.000 people from the municipalities of Castro Verde, Aljustrel, Almodovar, Ourique and Mértola.
