The Territorial Command Beja, through the Criminal Investigation Nucleus (NIC) of Almodovar, yesterday, day 10 March, detained five men, aged between 37 and 57 year old, for drug trafficking, in the town of Castro Verde.
As part of an investigation into drug trafficking, which took place about two years ago, the military of the Guard carried out several police investigations that culminated in the arrest of the five suspects and in the dismantling of a drug trafficking network that acquired the narcotic product in Loulé to later be marketed in Castro Verde.
During the investigation, the military of the Guard carried out a police operation that made it possible to detain two suspects in the act in possession of 2 020 doses of heroin, 92 doses de cocaÃna e 1 890 euro cash.
Following the action, three arrest warrants and five searches were also carried out., four domiciled and one in a vehicle.
The operation culminated in the total seizure of the following material: 2 050,80 doses of heroin, 92 doses of cocaine, 1 950 euro cash, an extendable baton, a car, three scales, 34 cell phones and a laptop.
The detainees are present for the first interrogation at the Judicial Court of Almodôvar, for the application of enforcement measures.
This action included the reinforcement of military personnel from the criminal investigation structure of the Territorial Command of Beja and Faro and the Intervention Detachments (OF) Beja and Faro.
