These days, the Christmas Fair, next to Largo da Feira, returns to being the place where everything happens. Ecological ice rink, grocery store, inflatables, workshops (Christmas cookies, macramé and painting), music, enchanting characters and juggling are some of the options for the whole family and, that these days, celebrate the Christmas season big.
From day 14 until the day 22, crafts and local products can also be discovered in another Christmas Market.
On these days there will also be musical entertainment on the streets and local shops of Castro Verde and a children's entertainment program, with emphasis on rides on the magic caterpillar, giant traditional games and stories about playing with “Itinerant troubadours” (15 ten and 21 ten. 15h00 e 15h30), circus arts and juggling (22 ten . 11h00) and also for the magic show with “Ambrosio Magic” (22 ten . 15h00).
On 14, 11.00am, will take place, at the Christmas Fair, the performance of the CRBA Brass and Percussion Group. At night, 21h30, the Classical Orchestra “White field” takes the stage at the Cineteatro for a Christmas concert, conducted by maestro Ricardo Carvalho, which aims to celebrate the Christmas season through a journey through themes from the classical repertoire and compositions by contemporary authors (free tickets at the Tourist Office).
Also highlighted in this program, on days 14 and 15, for the Christmas Classics Meeting, initiative promoted by the Firefighters Neighborhood Residents Association, which will join in Castro Verde around 25 old cars.
Also Christmas lighting and the installation of the nativity scene in Rotunda das Ovelhas, from day 1 of December, are part of Christmas celebrations, in Castro Verde. Christmas is also the motto for the campaign “This Christmas, Offer Castro Verde”, ongoing until the day 6 January 2025, and for the Christmas Clock Contest, open to all commercial establishments in Castro Verde with windows facing the public road.
