On the first weekend of September, days 2, 3 and 4, Castro Verde will host the first edition of the “Castro Mineiro” Festival.
The Festival will be a meeting place for different artistic expressions, cultural and social events that will feature several artists as headliners, Fire Fire and Virgul (2 set), Sara Correia and Tim (3 set) and Ana Arrebentinha and Kumpani Algazarra (4 set) of which musical projects such as “Home Duo” are also part (Joao Campos Palma and Tomás Martin) and "Terra Sul" (Ricardo Martins and Vitor Bacalhau), “RAIA – Planet Campaniça” (Tozé Bladder) and RUSSA – Hip Hop in the Feminine.
The tradition of cante and viola campaniça will also be present at the festival through the performances of the Choral Groups “Os Ganhões” from CastroVerde, “Os Mineiros” by Aljustrel and Grupo Coral de Turón (asturias), as well as the group of Viola Campaniça de Castro Verde.
plastic arts, exhibitions, conferences, gastronomy, initiatives related to mining activities and exhibitors are other activities that make up the program of this initiative, which will have free entry and free access to the campsite, at the Castro Verde Campsite, and Municipal Swimming Pools.
The “Castro Mineiro” Festival will take place at Parque da Liberdade, in Castro Verde and is an organization of the Municipality of Castro Verde, in partnership with SOMINCOR, under the artistic direction of Napoleão Mira.
