Castro Verde: Spring Festival in Campo Branco celebrates the 48 april years.


From day 21 April, during 10 days, Castro Verde celebrates Spring in Campo Branco, under the sign of 48 april years, with another edition of the Spring Festival in Campo Branco.

After a two -year interruption, arising from the pandemic, Spring in Campo Branco celebrates Freedom again, a cultura, The book and the reading, and community life. Concertos, exhibitions, Theatre, Books and Reading, plastic arts, sport, children's and outdoor activities, are some of the initiatives that, these days, happen at various points in the county.

On 21 April, Bárbara Tinoco performs in concert at the Municipal Cineteatro, where will make the opening honors of the festival. On the night of 24 April, The Philharmonic Band January 1st and Fernando Pereira are protagonists of the commemorative concert that marks the importance of this historical date and the value of freedom.

In this issue, The festival also celebrates the 27th anniversary of the Manuel da Fonseca Municipal Library, important date that highlights the work developed in favor of promoting the book and reading. The Book Fair returns to the house. From day 21, next to the Manuel da Fonseca Municipal Library, The Book Fair is inaugurated where, until the day 30, different initiatives around the book, highlighting meetings with writers and storytellers.

On 30 April, The young fadista Mafalda Vasques takes the stage of the Municipal Cineteatro to the closing concert of the festival.

To 30 April, Culture and arts are permanent presence throughout the municipality – Recreational and cultural centers will receive fado, Singing and traditional and popular music – promoting the enjoyment of culture in an open and permanent way.

Celebrate freedom as a concept and real practice, Remembering the story and looking at the future is the challenge that proposes in Castro Verde, in a broad partnership with the associations, collectivities and parish councils of the municipality.
