Advances in Castro Verde, the 2nd edition of the Municipal Prize “Castro Undertakes More”, promoted by the City Council.
The initiative aims to stimulate and identify new business initiatives that can stand out for their creativity and entrepreneurial capacity in the context of economic development in the municipality of Castro Verde..
Editing 2023 of the Municipal Prize “Castro Undertakes More” once again counts on the support of SOMINCOR, concession company for the Neves-Corvo Mine, and aims to reward the categories “Entrepreneurial Idea”, aimed at young entrepreneurs among 18 and 35 year old, distinguished by its creative and innovative nature.
Turn, the “New Business Project – Somincor Award”, category aimed at all companies based within the territorial limits of the municipality of Castro Verde, started its activity less than 3 year old, in all sectors of activity, especially in areas that make up the base of the local economy (trade, services, extractive industry, agriculture and social economy).
The prize for the category “Entrepreneurial Idea” includes a financial prize worth €3 000 and free access during 6 months at one of the offices of IN Castro – Center for Ideas and Business. Category winner “New Business Initiative – Somincor Award” will be awarded a financial prize worth €2 000.
The prize “Castro Undertakes More” intends to be another important instrument, alongside IN Castro – Center for Ideas and Business, in the field of promoting and supporting the development of the local economy, encouraging and recognizing the entrepreneurial spirit of young residents, and at the same time, valuing local business activity.
