Castro Verde: Septuagenarian died in the car interior dragged into river.

A woman was killed and four men were rescued alive, after yesterday two passenger cars were swept away by the force of the water to the Ribeira de Cobres, in Castro Verde municipality.
The alert for the accident was given about the 16,38 hours, when the vehicles were crossing the small bridge that connects the two banks of the river between St. Mark's and Ataboeira Inputs and were swept away by the force of the water.
The woman, of 72 year old, residing in Lisbon, with second homes in San Marcos Ataboeira, It was found lifeless, inside one of the vehicles that was completely submerged. The husband, of 75 year old, It was rescued alive by firefighters at around 18,20 hours, lying in the emergency room of Beja Hospital in a state regarded as very serious.
A first car that fell into the water and became partially submerged, rescued three men, aged 42 and 69 year old, all residents of inputs and were transported to the same hospital.
