A worker died, Tuesday, at the Neves-Corvo mine, managed by Somincor, in Castro Verde municipality. The warning was given by 12.33 hours.
Upon arrival at the location, the man, of 42 year old, was in cardiorespiratory arrest. The case was considered a sudden illness and not a work accident..
Firefighters and SIV from Castro Verde and VMER from Beja were mobilized, a total of 10 men, supported by five cars.
Death was declared by the Beja VMER team and the body transported to the Beja medical-legal office.
A 3 July, a worker was in serious condition after suffering an accident in the same mine.
