Beja: Memory and Myths – Exhibition commemorating the Centenary of the sculptor Jorge Vieira.
Today and tomorrow, 16 and 17 November,, the Archeology and Arts Center of Beja is open for the commemorative Exhibition of the centenary of the sculptor Jorge Vieira.
Book: “Mulheres de Beja”-30 women who had an impact in the capital of Baixo Alentejo.
“Mulheres de Beja” is the title of the book by the authors Florbela Barão da Silva and M. Margarida Pereira-Müller, with illustrations by Cristina Matos and the support of the Municipality of Beja.
“words wanderers”: It starts today in Beja with the theme “The power of the word”.
Four years after the forced shutdown resulting from the pandemic situation, the event will take place in the city's Public Garden, between today and sunday (26 and 28 August), with the theme “The power of the word” (see program).
Beja: “words wanderers” returns four years later dedicated to the “power of the word”.
“If we have a Library and a Garden, we have everything”, a phrase from the writer Marcos Tulius Cicero (Roma, 106-43 a.C.) which faithfully translates the objectives of the Municipality of Beja in the organization of the 16th edition of Palavras Andarilhas, carried out by the José Saramago Municipal Library.

The Municipality of Beja, through its Municipal Library, resumes the organization of this initiative, after a forced stop due to the pandemic situation.
Castro Verde: Castro Mineiro Festival 2 a 4 of September.
On the first weekend of September, days 2, 3 and 4, Castro Verde will host the first edition of the “Castro Mineiro” Festival.
