According to the accusation consulted by Jornal de Notícias (JN) na caserna 112 Air Base (BA) 11 the supply and installation of a central heating system was ordered, with all accessories. The amount agreed and paid was 45 thousand euros.
“In fact, BA11 had already installed the entire thermal power plant, as well as outlet isolating valves, Therefore, it would only be necessary to install copper tube networks, as well as radiators with thermostatic valves”, clarifies the accusation about Operation Perfect Storm.
The inspection or control of works measurement records was the responsibility of employees “controlled” by the directors and were also accused of corruption.
Dozens of works commissioned by the General Directorate of National Defense Resources (DGRDN), with tailor-made awards from friendly entrepreneurs, were not fully completed.
