The Municipality of Beja is the one most infected with covid-19, with 218 active cases and 14 deaths. Alvito is now the only “clean” municipality.
The existence of 218 active cases of covid-18, a total of 380 cases accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic and 14 deaths, out the numbers that weighed in the Government's decision to place the Municipality of Beja on the list of high-risk municipalities of covid-19. Alvito is now the only municipality without any case, after the appearance of infected people in Almodôvar and Barrancos, in the past day 28 October were “clean”.
The figures appear in the Baixo Alentejo-COVID Daily Situation report 19, that the Intermunicipal Community of Baixo Alentejo (CIMB) posted this Monday on his facebook page, where it realizes that they already passed away 19 people and there 297 active cases of the disease, we 13 municipalities in your area of jurisdiction, exception made to the municipality of Odemira.
CIMBAL figures reveal that there have already been 14 deaths in the municipality of Beja, 10 of which occurred in two homes between 20 and 30 October, 2 in the municipalities of Moura and Ourique and one in Almodôvar. Existing registration of 28 new cases of infected with covid-19.
Of 297 active cases in the thirteen municipalities, Beja with the referred 218, is the county most affected, followed by Ferreira do Alentejo with 22, Serpa with 20 and Cuba with 10. Below the dozen cases are Aljustrel and Mértola with 6 cases every, Moura, Vidigueira, Ourique and Castro Verde with 3 each, Barrancos and Almodôvar with one case each and finally Alvito, which is now the only “clean” municipality of covid-19.
As for inpatients there are 26 infetados, 22 in the ward and four in the Intensive Care Unit (UCI), taking 44 people already discharged, being 811 people on active surveillance.
CIMBAL reveals that since the beginning of the pandemic, in the thirteen counties, a total of 796 infected and 479 recovered, the number of confirmed or unconfirmed is 6607 cases. Beja is the municipality where the most cases of covid-19 were registered, in total 380, followed by Moura with 168, Serpa with 59 and Ourique with 52 cases. The remaining nine municipalities have already had less than fifty positive, Alvito is “zero” in the number of confirmed cases, active, recovered and deaths.
Knowing the seriousness of the situation in the region, CIMBAL calls for “the serenity is maintained and all the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health are fulfilled”.
