Covid-19: Mértola Chamber clarifies two positive cases “imported” at Monte Alves.


Two positive cases of covid-19 detected in the municipality of Mértola. There are two cases “imported” of the municipality of Lisbon.
Following the identification of two positive cases of COVID-19 in the municipality, reported to two non-resident ladies, at Monte dos Alves, the Municipality of Mértola issued a statement on its facebook page, where it informs the population of the county “on the situation and steps taken so far”.
It reveals the “those infected were temporarily at Monte dos Alves. Both people are vacationing in the houses they own in the locality. At the beginning of the week one of the women had a sore throat and went to the health services. In Beja they were tested and today (Saturday), around lunch time, knew the results”.
According to the statement, both women remain isolated in the Alves' respective homes.. “Public health authorities are investigating possible contacts and contamination channels to identify situations of greater risk. All persons considered at maximum risk will be tested”, ensures the autarchy.
The Chamber of Mértola, appeal “to anyone who has had contact with infected people who remain in isolation. And we alert you to the fact that the ladies identified were a frequent presence in the Alves' cafe, and that for that same reason the coffee is closed until the results of the tests”.
The municipality of “Village Museum” ends by ensuring that “all local and regional partner entities that are supporting, our thanks a lot for the readiness and availability expressed”.
