According to the daily report (Daily report 23-01-2021) the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), concerning 24,00 hours 22 January, the municipality of Beja registered 705 active cases, more 14 than the day before.
To 24,00 hours 31 December 2020 the municipality of Beja registered 262 infetados, What compared to yesterday's numbers?, there is more 443 cases, that is, an increase of 169%.
According to figures revealed by the ULSBA, in the Municipality of Moura the infected continue to rise, now being described the existence of 313 covid-19 patients.
After Beja and Moura, the municipalities with the most cases, second to ULSBA, are Cuba with 227 cases, Almodôvar with 134, Aljustrel with 124 and Aljustrel with 118, are the ones that register more than a hundred infected.
In the ULSBA data, which does not include the municipality of Odemira, the number of active cases of covid-19 is 2.023, having been known 105 new cases, in total 4.386 infected since the beginning of the pandemic. There is also the registration of 53 patients admitted to the ward and 8 at the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja.
The total number of deaths from covid-19 rose to 114, with log 31 fatal victims in Beja, 22 in Mértola, 19 Serpa, 14 in Cuba, 8 in Moura and 5 in Vidigueira. After many months without fatalities, Alvito and Barrancos already record one death each.

Viewing the Facebook pages of the Municipalities, it appears that six of them present their own data, where some of them are very discrepant with those presented by ULSBA. The most glaring case is Moura, where there is a difference of more than 100 people identified as active cases. The Municipality maintains that there is 211 and the Health Unit reveals 313. Based on data from the municipality, there is a difference in Aljustrel of less 26 cases, less 22 in Vidigueira, less 10 in Alvito and Almodôvar and more 8 in Barrancos.
In the Municipalities of Moura and Vidigueira the information is even more complete, revealing the numbers in each of the parishes in the municipality.
Aljustrel- County (until 21,00 hours 22/01): 98 active cases, 120 recovered and 5 deaths. ULSBA (until 24,00 hours 22/01): 124 active cases, 60 recovered and 3 deaths.
Alvito- County (until 18,00 hours 22/01): 14 active cases, 37 recovered and 1 death. ULSBA (until 24,00 hours 22/01): 24 active cases, 1 recovered and 1 death.
Almodovar- County (until 19,00 hours 22/01): 124 active cases, 32 recovered and 2 deaths. ULSBA (until 24,00 hours 22/01): 134 active cases, 32 recovered and 2 deaths.
Canyons- County (until 16,00 hours 22/01): 24 active cases, 24 recovered and 1 death. ULSBA (until 24,00 hours 22/01): 16 active cases, 21 recovered and 1 deaths.
