The situation in the municipality of Beja continues to be alarming in view of the constant rise in cases of covid-19 in the last days.
To 24,00 hours yesterday, Thursday, day 30 of December, according to the daily report (Daily report 31-12-2020) the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), the Municipality recorded 275 active cases, more 15 than the day before and more 65 than on the night of 24 of December.
The situations in the municipalities of Mértola and Vidigueira are also of concern with the Municipality of “Vila dos Gamas to learn more 7 new cases and that of “Vila Museu” registering another patient. To 24,00 hours yesterday, Vidigueira recorded 96 cases, more than those who register in Mértola. Also in the municipality of Serpa, that was registering an important decrease of cases, in the last 24 hours came back to know 3 new cases, now recording a total of 62 infetados.
In a very positive record, the Municipality of Barrancos remains as a municipality "Limpo de Covid", continuing not to record any positive case for several weeks.
According to the daily report of the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo (ULSBA), which does not include the municipality of Odemira, the number of infected is now 661, the highest ever since the pandemic began, having been known 57 Novos infetados, in total 2.161 infetados. There is also the registration of 17 patients hospitalized in the infirmary and four in the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital José Joaquim Fernandes, in Beja. In the total number of deaths, there is 57 deaths by covid-19, 22 of which in Beja and 18 and Serpa.
